5th Joint Meeting of GBM & BioPharma Cluster South Germany
Welcome
Dear colleagues and friends,
The successful collaboration between the BioPharma Cluster South Germany and the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM) continues.
With the aim of bridging the gap between academic research and industrial implementation, the 5th edition of the meeting focuses on „Targeted Drug Delivery“.
This field of research, development, and clinical application is more and more important because it promises the direct delivery of active substances to their target sites, thereby maximising therapeutic efficacy while minimising systemic side effects.
In particular, the meeting will address the following issues and related topics:
- What targeting strategies are already available and in use in the pharmaceutical industry ?
- What are the opportunities for the future and what challenges must be overcome ?
The event covers a broad range of expertise, ranging from market developments to drug design to formulation with perspectives from basic and applied research to industrial study cases.
The meeting is designed for students, postdocs, researchers, developers, and engineers from industry and academia, as well as anyone else interested in this increasingly important field, which already is and will continue to revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry.
At the event, we will offer all participants the opportunity for a vivid exchange and networking with speakers and other experts (from industry and academia).
